NATUROPATHIC MEDICINES Unlike many conventional medical treatments which provide only symptomatic relief, naturopathic medicine focuses specifically on the underlying causes of illness. Practitioners employ a wide variety of techniques ranging from traditional Chinese medicine to nutrition and lifestyle counselling in an effort to restore and maintain optimal health. Naturopathic medicine restores and maintains optimal health with individualized treatments that focus on the underlying causes of illness. Naturopathic Medicine can provide patients with an alternative form of health care or can be integrated to complement and support current medical treatment by utilizing the following natural therapies:

HOMEOPATHY Homeopathy is a therapeutic art that stimulates the body to heal itself. It has been used for over two centuries and is effective for treating both acute and chronic conditions; and can be used safely with other medications. Homeopathic medicines are dilute plant, mineral, and animal substances intended to stimulate the body’s ability to heal itself. Remedies can be used for acute health problems and symptom relief, such as for sore throats, cold/flu, muscle soreness from overuse, etc. Homeopathy is also effective for chronic health problems, such as allergies, headaches, mood disorders, and hyperactivity in children. Homeopathy is particularly helpful with the body-mind connection in regards to the mental and emotional influences on disease, illness, and injury. |

REFLEXOLOGY Reflexology is a simple, safe therapy that helps to bring the body to optimal functioning. Various organs, muscles and glands are stimulated by putting pressure on different areas on the feet or hands. Reflexology can improve circulation, revitalize energy and balance the whole system. Reflexology is a simple, safe therapy that helps to bring the body to optimal functioning. Various organs, muscles and glands are stimulated by putting pressure on different areas on the feet or hands. Reflexology can improve circulation, revitalize energy and balance the whole system. What is Involved? - The Reflexologist will use their hands to apply alternating pressure to the hands or feet. What Does Reflexology Do? - The foot contains over 7,200 nerve endings which are stimulated during a reflexology treatment. The reflex points mapped out on the feet create a three dimensional picture of the body, with all its systems and organs. Working the reflex points on the hands or feet will stimulate or relax the associated areas of the body, as appropriate. How Will I Feel? - Most people are surprised that the treatment does not feel ticklish and that they can immediately relax. How Long is the Treatment? - The first session usually takes approximately one hour. Following sessions may last from 30 to 50 minutes. |

ACUPUNCTURE Acupuncture is a treatment in which very thin needles are inserted into specific points on the body in order to stimulate the body’s ability to heal and, in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) philosophy, to assist in the balancing of Qi (“chi”) within energy meridians. Acupuncture is an effective, safe, natural therapy; especially for the management of pain and chronic illness. TCM and acupuncture have been used for thousands of years. This ancient form of healing has been integrated into Western medical practices as a complementary modality to address health concerns other than pain management, such as migraines, gastrointestinal problems, menstrual irregularities, fertility challenges and many more chronic health problems. |

REIKI "Reiki" is Japanese for Universal Life Force. This unique form of treatment is based upon the movement of healing energy, which flows to the individual's body from the practitioner's hands with a light touch or no direct contact at all. In doing so, Reiki is found to be extremely effective in balancing and restoring the body's natural energies. What is Reiki? - Reiki is the channeling of universal energy that helps to balance and heal your body on all four levels.
How does Reiki work? - Reiki works on the cause of the disease in the body, rather than the symptom. Reiki helps to accelerate the healing process within the body. How does Reiki feel? - You will find a Reiki treatment extremely relaxing. It is not uncommon to fall asleep during a treatment, or go into a very deep meditative state. As old patterns are released you may feel the urge to sneeze, or cough. Your body will release in whatever way that it sees fit. What to I do during a Reiki treatment?
- Just relax and enjoy the treatment. This healing is tailored specifically
for you! As the practitioner moves around your body, certain areas may
require more energy than others. This is normal. What can I expect following a treatment?
- You are likely to feel totally relaxed and peaceful. It is recommended
that you drink lots of water after a treatment to help flush out toxins
from your body. Please do this for several days. Scheduling another
appointment may be discussed. |

BOWEN TECHNIQUE Bowen Therapy is an extremely gentle and relaxing body technique designed to stimulate the body's own healing mechanisms. Using small, gentle movements, the practitioner is able to maneuver muscles, tendons or ligaments in order to produce an "integrated body response". The many benefits of this treatment include improved circulation, lymphatic draining, elimination of toxins and a general enhancement to mobility and posture. The Bowen Technique may very well be one of
the single most important tools we have to facilitate healing of the whole
body. The technique brings about incredible results by stimulating the
body’s unique ability to heal itself. It allows for the dynamic
integration of the central and peripheral nervous system. |

COSMETIC
ACUPUNCTURE Cosmetic acupuncture is a customized, natural, and effective rejuvenation treatment for the face and neck that is designed for patients to look and feel younger. It is a virtually painless, non-surgical alternative to reduce signs of aging such as wrinkles, sagging skin, and dark circles under the eyes. How does it work? - In the case of wrinkles and fine lines, for example, tiny acupuncture needles stimulate the natural production of collagen within the skin to decrease the depth of deep wrinkles and to eliminate fine lines. The results of cosmetic acupuncture are cumulative. A course of treatment consists of 10 – 15 treatment sessions. The sessions can be administered once or twice a week. The final results can last for many years with maintenance treatments. The scheduling of these can vary depending on individual need, skin integrity, and lifestyle. Though like surgical facelifts and other cosmetic procedures, the actual outcome and lasting effects cannot be predicted. Book a free consultation to discuss if cosmetic acupuncture is suited for you. |

RECONNECTIVE
HEALING Healing is a return to balance. Every health challenge is a combination of the physical, mental, spiritual, emotional (and probably a few other classifications we don’t have words for). We simply classify it according to its predominate characteristic. Reconnective Healing doesn’t specifically "treat" anything. If in its presence you allow yourself to come back into balance, as many people do, then you do. You just do.” – Eric Pearl Reconnective Healing is a form of healing that is here on the planet for the very first time. It reconnects us to the fullness of the universe as it reconnects us to the fullness of our beings and of who we are. It is considered to be able to reconnect us to the universe and to our very essence not just through a new set of healing frequencies, but through possibly an entirely new bandwidth. The reality of its existence has demonstrated itself clearly in practice as well as in science laboratories. The Reconnection - The Reconnection is the umbrella process of reconnecting to the universe, which allows Reconnective Healing to take place. These healings and evolutionary frequencies are of a new bandwidth brought in via a spectrum of light and information. It is through The Reconnection that we are able to interact with these new levels of light and information, and it is through these new levels of light and information that we are able to reconnect. This is something new. This is different. This is real—and it can be entrained in each of us.
What’s the difference between Reconnective
Healing and The Reconnection? -
The difference between Reconnective Healing and The Reconnection is basically
one of intent. The intent of Reconnective Healing is essentially that
of healing, be it physical, mental, emotional, spiritual or on any other
level. And, of course, to achieve the degree of healing brought forth
via Reconnective Healing, you will, to some extent, experience reconnection
as part of the process. It’s this "Reconnection" that
allows Reconnective Healing to be so dramatically more comprehensive than
the healing "techniques" we’ve had up until now. |

THERAPEUTIC
TOUCH
A practice that is a contemporary interpretation of several ancient healing practices, “Therapeutic Touch is best described as an intentionally directed process of energy exchange where the practitioners use their hands as a focus to facilitate the subject’s own healing process. It is based on the premise that the human body, mind, emotions and intuition form a complex, dynamic “energy field” governed by pattern and order. This human energy field is abundant and flows in balanced patterns in health but is depleted and/or unbalanced in illness or injury. These defects can be detected and manipulated by an experienced practitioner of Therapeutic Touch. Assessment is simple and application is non intrusive.” A person remains fully clothed during the treatment. Therapeutic Touch can be applied safely and effectively on any health status and to anyone from babies to the aged and immobile. It is considered most useful in reducing or eliminating pain, promoting healing, and eliciting a relaxation response, which has been identified as a key component to enable the body to restore health. Therapeutic Touch, a contemporary interpretation
of several ancient healing practices, is a consciously directed process
of energy exchange during which Practitioners use their hands as a focus
for facilitating healing. This technique was first brought to our attention
as a modern healing method by Dolores Krieger, Ph.D., R.N. and her colleague,
Dora Kunz, in 1972. |

VIBRATIONAL
MEDICINE Vibrational medicine attempts to treat people with pure energy. It is based on the theoretical understanding that the physical body is actually a complex network of interwoven energy fields. The energy network which represents the physical framework is organized and nourished by "subtle" energetic systems which coordinate the life-force with the body. It is from these subtle levels that health and dis-ease originate. These unique energy systems are powerfully affected by our thoughts, emotions, and level of spiritual balance as well as nutritional and environmental factors. Vibrational Therapy, also called Vibrational Medicine and Energy Medicine,
is based on the scientific principles that all matter vibrates to a precise
frequency and that by using resonant vibration, balance of matter can
be restored. |
